Special Opportunities to Learn English

American Students in Your Conversation Classes

Students in Oral Roberts University's TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) Master's Degree program will attend many of your Listening/Speaking and Communication classes during the Spring and Fall sessions. This will give you an opportunity to practice English conversation skills with native English-speakers while you learn.

Field Trips

All students take different field trips throughout the year to improve English skills and learn more about American and Midwestern culture. Some of the students' favorite field trips include a tour of historic downtown Tulsa, the Philbrook Museum, the Tulsa Zoo, the Tulsa Fair, and International Day .

Language Lab & Cultural Center

Oral Roberts University's Language Lab & Cultural Center is available for ULI students to use. The facility is located on the 2nd floor of the Learning Resource Center (LRC). This modern language facility is a place where students can practice their English skills outside of class. Students can listen to English cassettes and use English computer programs to help improve their English skills.

American Tutors

Tutors are sometimes available free from students in Oral Roberts University's TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) Master's Degree program.
